For the six months (March 21-Sept. 22) of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), Iran’s Maroun Oil and Gas Production Company (MOGPC) in Iran’s Khuzestan province has fulfilled its production plan by 105.9 percent, said Hamid Kavian, the company’s managing director, Trend reports referring to the National Iranian Oil Company's website.

He said that 103,000 barrels of crude oil were extracted using Mobile Oil Separator (MOS) and Mobile Oil Treater (MOT) equipment. He added that this indicates an increase of about 16.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

“The daily production of the company will increase by 11,800 barrels with the implementation of four working packages regarding 28 storage facilities, expansion of 29 wells, drilling of two waste disposal wells and repair of 19 wells,” he said.

MOGPC produces about 580,000 barrels of oil per day. Some of it is consumed in Iran and the rest is exported.

The company also produces about 36,000 barrels of liquefied gas daily and sends it to the Mahshahr Petrochemical Plant.
