Kazakhstan discloses latest data on grain harvesting

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 15

Trend:

Around 13.2 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops were harvested in Kazakhstan as of September 15, 2021, which is 83.3 percent of their total harvested area, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

With an average yield of 9.1 centners per hectare, 12 million tons of grain were milled, the ministry stressed.

"In three main grain-sowing regions, namely, Akmola, Kostanay, and North Kazakhstan, 86 percent of the harvested area, or 10 million hectares, has been harvested. Around 8.2 million tons were milled, the yield was 8.3 c/ha," the report said.

The volumes of storage capacities at the projected volumes of the harvest, taking into account the carry-overs of the past years, are sufficient, noted the ministry.
