BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Kazakhstan will continue structural reforms and demonopolization of the economy, and strengthen support for entrepreneurship, Trend reports via the press service of the Kazakh president.

The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Prime Minister of the country Alikhan Smaiylov, who reported the results of the country's socio-economic development from January through July 2022.

According to Alikhan Smaiylov, during the reporting period, GDP growth amounted to 3.2 percent. The production of goods increased by 3.3 percent, and the volume of services provided increased by 2.4 percent. The largest growth was shown in such sectors as construction, trade, manufacturing, transport, and communications.

The prime minister informed the president about measures to curb prices for socially significant food products. The government continues to implement the food security plan for 2022-2024.

In addition, the prime minister presented a forecast of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan for 2023-2025.
