DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 7. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is set to visit Moscow to participate in the upcoming meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of State Council, Trend reports.
The visit was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a congratulatory letter on the occasion of Rahmon's birthday.
"In anticipation of our meeting in the coming days in Moscow, I extend my sincere wishes for good health, prosperity, and new successes in your state activities," Putin wrote.
The Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed to local media that Rahmon will arrive in Russia on October 7, with the trip scheduled to last until October 8.
The CIS Heads of State Council meeting will take place on October 8, where decisions will be made to enhance cooperation among member states in trade, economics, and cultural and humanitarian fields.
