Iran summons Afghan envoy
Iran summoned Afghan ambassador following gatherings in front of Iranian embassy in Kabul, ISNA reported.
Some 1000 Afghans held a gathering in front of Iranian embassy in Kabul and attacked the complex on Thursday following what they claimed as ill-treatment with some Afghan refugees by Iranian authorities on charges of drug-smuggling.
Director General of Iranian Foreign Ministry for West Asian Affairs delivered a protest note to Afghan diplomat showing Iran's severe objection to these assaults.
He also warned against adverse effects of such moves on Iran-Afghanistan relations.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry official called for Afghan government to confront elements involved in the attack.
Afghan ambassador on his part expressed disappointment at the events and assured that his government would take required measures.
