As many as 2,200 tons of animal products have been exported from Iran’s Golestan province so far this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), said Gholamreza Mehrabi, director general of Golestan province Veterinary Department, Trend reports via IRNA.
Mehrabi said that the exported products included eggs, shrimp and chicken legs.
The director added that these products were exported to Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, the UAE and Iraq.
Mehrabi didn’t disclose the cost of the exported products.
About 532,000 tons of animal products are annually produced in Golestan province.
