Iran, IAEA Road-map outcome of concerted cooperation: Negotiator

Iranian Foreign Ministry's Director General for Political and International Security Affaris Hamid Baeidinejad said the IAEA statement on Thursday confirming Tehran's cooperation with the UN atomic agency was the outcome of bilateral intensive work, IRNA reported.

The ranking member of the Iran's nuclear team in negotiations with the P5+1 group of world powers also hailed the smart coordination among domestic institutions notably the country's defense sector.

In comments on his Instagram page, the Iranian diplomat welcomed the IAEA's issuing a statement confirming Iran's cooperation with the agency over the outstanding issues.

The IAEA, he wrote, has announced that in the period to October 15, 2015, activities set out in the Road-map for the clarification of past and present outstanding issues regarding Iran's nuclear program' were completed.

Under a road-map agreement reached between Iran and the IAEA, Iran had to provide by Thursday the cooperation necessary for the agency to complete an assessment of Iran's activities by Dec. 15.

The cooperation with IAEA was made to prove falsehood of the unbased allegations against our country which were raised for more than ten years and which some international observers believed had turned the solving the issue of PMD (Possible Military Dimension) next to impossible, he said.

Sections of US media had resorted to PMD documents to make the world believe military aspect of Iran's nuclear program in a bid to set the political and psychological scene for a military attack against Iran.
