Georgian, German Defense Ministries discuss cooperation plans in Berlin

Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Giorgi Muchaidze has finished official visit to Germany. The Georgian Defense Ministry delegation made a visit to Germany on May 28-31. The sides held military and political negotiations in the framework of the cooperation of Defense Ministries of Georgia and Germany in 2009.
First deputy head of the Military and Political Control Department and German Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Hans Virman represented Germany. The meeting discussed main directions of bilateral cooperation and prospects, priorities and plans implemented by the Georgian Ministry.
The parties also discussed the situation in Georgia after the August war, security issues, participation of Germany in international operations and Euro-Atlantic security issues.
During the visit to Germant, Muchaidze met with German Deputy Defense Minister Rudiger Wolf and visited the Military Academy to meet with Georgian cadet and held conversations with representatives of the Academy.
