The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan plans to increase the number of trainings aimed at expanding the opportunities for women’s entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, Head of the Association Sakina Babayeva told Trend.

Babayeva noted that there are plans to increase trainings that are held in the regions for women entrepreneurs who are beginners in business.

“We mainly plan to increase the number of specialized consultations in the field of agriculture and marketing,” she said. “This mission is carried out by members of our Association who are leading experts in these fields. Local consultations are held free of charge. We have now doubled the number of training courses per week. We plan to hold trainings more often in 10 regions of the country, including those located in the border zone.”

She noted that there is a certain progress in the field of women’s entrepreneurship, which is primarily related to the competent approach of women to doing business, with the support of the Association’s specialists.

“The number of women who want to start business is increasing,” she said. “We, in turn, support them in drawing up business plans, as well as in direct choosing a more optimal business direction.”

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was established with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan in October 2017.

Over 143,000 women are engaged in business in Azerbaijan, according to the statistics.
