Iran's OIEC receives order for equipment manufacturing worth $1B
TEHRAN, Iran, Oct.22
Iran's Oil Industries Engineering and Construction (OIEC) company has received an order to manufacture equipment for $1 billion, the head of Iranian parliament's industrial committee Aziz Akbarian said, Trend reports via ILNA.
"The domestic production movement is a major issue for the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, and it should go beyond the ministry, as a national issue," said Akbarian, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"The private sector should be trusted and the restriction on surplus in this sector should be reduced," said the official.
"With regards to the country's current situation, we expect the banks to have more cooperation with the industry sector, so we can handle sanctions better," Akbarian said.
"The parliament completely supports the domestic production, utilizing technology made by foreign companies should only be used in urgent situation and there should be cooperation between public and private sectors," he said.
