BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 6. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Golestan Province (north-eastern Iran) amounted to 120,000 tons worth $67.8 million, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), Director General of Golestan Province Customs Office Ebrahim Hosseini said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Hosseini said that the country’s non-oil exports through the province’s customs for the reporting period increased by 47 percent in value, while decreased by 25 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
The director general added that the main exported goods were polystyrene, cheese, pipes and profiles, iodine, dates and etc.
“In addition, Iran imported 4,860 tons of goods worth $9.9 million through the customs of Golestan Province in 4 months. The imports decreased by 29 percent in value and increased by 23 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he noted.
Hosseini also pointed out that the Golestan Province's customs revenues for the first four months amounted to more than 330 billion rials (about $7.8 million), an increase of 91 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
