BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 67 percent in value and 10 percent in volume, during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Bushehr Province Mehdi Safavi told Tasnim News Agency, Trend reports.
Safavi noted that a total of 12 million tons of goods worth $6.3 billion were exported through the customs of the province in 5 months.
“The main exported goods were petrochemical products, and etc. These goods were mainly exported to China, the UAE, India, Republic of South Africa, Nigeria, Sudan, Mozambique, Türkiye, Pakistan and Singapore,” the chairman said.
According to him, 262,000 tons of goods worth $777 million were imported through the province’s customs in 5 months, which is an increase of 85 percent in value and 53 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
The chairman added that various fabrics, tea, car tires, various spare parts for passenger cars, motorcycles and bicycles, and so on were main imported goods.
The goods were mainly imported from China, the UAE, Russia, India, Thailand, Philippines, Türkiye, Sri Lanka, South Korea and Japan, Safavi said.
