PMO records increase in port operations at Iran’s Genaveh port

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 11 percent in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021, through January 20, 2022), compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 8,690 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port in the 10th month. About 2,620 tons of cargo were loaded and 6,070 tons were unloaded.

Also, 1,250 tons of cargo were exported and 56 tons were imported through the Genaveh port during the reporting month, the statistics said.

Within the 10th month, 1,370 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,170 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

In addition, 1,070 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transshipment, as well as 3,770 tons were unloaded for other purposes in the 10th month.

In total, 1,250 tons of construction and mining materials, 6,370 tons of small and assorted products and 1,070 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port within the 10th month of the current Iranian year.

About 17.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 11.9 million tons were loaded and 6.03 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 42 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
