Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE have been invited to observe the early presidential election in Kazakhstan, the country's Foreign Ministry said on Feb.28.

Kazakh Foreign Ministry said it has invited the OSCE ODIHR and the parliamentary assembly to form their observer missions and has already started consultations with these structures on this issue, TASS news agency reported.

Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the International Organizations in Vienna Kairat Sarybai spoke at the meeting of OSCE Permanent Council, according to Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

"Kazakhstan pledges to hold honest, open and fair election in full compliance with the electoral law and attaches great importance to the international observation of the election," he said.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a decree on Feb.25 on holding early presidential election on April 26, 2015.

The early presidential election was initiated by the Council of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan on February 14. The country's parliament and representatives of major political parties and public associations supported the electoral campaign.

As a result of the early presidential election held in April 2011, the incumbent head of state gathered 95.55 percent of votes. The next presidential election in Kazakhstan was to be held in 2016.
