Foreign Ministry caretaker Ali-Reza Salehi and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu on phone on Thursday discussed issues pertinent to imminent Iran-P5+1 meeting, DPA reported.
The two sides also talked on key regional and international events.
Iran and the P5+1 in their meeting in Geneva on December 7 agreed on having the next round of their discussions in Istanbul late January.
