Qatar supports resumption of Iran-Egypt ties
Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani said his country supports the resumption of ties between Islamic Republic of Iran and Egypt, IRNA reported.
Sheikh Hamad made the remark in a meeting with the Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf in Qatar's capital of Doha on Thursday.
He noted that all Persian Gulf countries have embassies in Iran and Egypt's resumption of ties with Iran will cause no concern for any country.
'There is no cause for concern because if Tehran and Cairo resume their ties it will not adversely affect its relations with the Arab countries of the region,' Sheikh Hamad added.
Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf, for his part, said that Cairo has currently friendly ties with Iran and everything is going well.
