BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. The volume of money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia significantly decreased in April 2022, Trend reports via the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
Money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia in April 2022 amounted to $4.9 million, which is a decrease of 45.5 percent, compared to $9 million over the same period of 2021. However, the same figure ($4.9 million) increased by 4.2 percent compared to March 2022 ($4.7 million).
Meanwhile, the total volume of money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan in April 2022 amounted to $2 million, which is an increase of 25 percent compared to the same month of 2021 ($1.6 million).
Overall, the total volume of money transfers to Georgia in April 2022 amounted to $308.1 million, which is an increase of 58.8 percent, compared to $114.1 million over the same month of 2021.
