Cooperation between the Hungarian DBH Group company and Azerbaijan’s High Tech Park LLC is being considered at the governmental level, Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Imre Laszloczki told Trend Nov. 3.
This is due to the fact that Hungary offered to create a joint investment fund in the field of information and communications technology (ICT) in March 2016, said the ambassador.
“DBH Group successfully cooperated with the High Tech Park in 2014-2015. A memorandum between the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communications and High Technologies has been signed as a result of join efforts,” Laszloczki said.
In accordance with the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in the sphere of venture capital financing, in creation of joint investment opportunities, financing of promising startup projects. They will also assist the promotion of the jointly produced high-tech products on international market.
The reached agreements will facilitate integration of Azerbaijani companies in the EU market, as well as integration of European companies in the Azerbaijani market through branches.
The High Tech Park has previously said that cooperation with the DBH Group will increase the role of Azerbaijan as a center to assist expansion of activities of the European companies in the regional markets, which is vital for the integration of Azerbaijani startups in the world market.
