Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / Azerbaijani MP, Panah Huseyn, reported to Trend on 22 October that yet it is impossible to realize the initiative regarding the first deputies' fraction in Azerbaijan Parliament.
According to him, few parliamentarians wish to join it.
"The parliamentarians discuss this issue, but concrete results have not been reached yet. It is impossible to bring together the opposition and opposition-inclined parliamentarians in this regard," Huseyn said.
According to the Regulation of Azerbaijan Parliament, at least 25 parliamentarians should come together to establish a fraction. An unregistered deputies' group 'Musavat' comprising five MPs functions in the Parliament.
According to Huseyn, 25 parliamentarians are much more for establishing a fraction as compared to 125 parliamentarians. It presents obstacles to form fractions and democratize the Parliament. Huseyn suggests decreasing the number of MPs for establishing a fraction up to 11. Talks are held with the Head of the Parliament in this regard, he said.
