BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 27. The number of international observers registered in connection with the extraordinary parliamentary election has been disclosed, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said, Trend reports.

According to him, a total of 604 international observers from 69 countries and 50 structures have been registered.

The term of application of international observers to observe the parliamentary elections in all electoral districts of the Republic of Azerbaijan expired on August 22.

On June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and calling for an extraordinary election.

The snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
