Uzbekistan Railways company has purchased the newest model of German multifunctional Multi Tasker Krc 1200uz crane mechanism - first in the CIS countries to date, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan Railways.
The technique shows exceptional quality in track and bridge works, as well as railway recovery services. The 175-ton lifting mechanism, which can lift up to 150 tons, was delivered from Leipzig to Tashkent via countries such as Poland, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The crane will be used to secure the 19.2 km railway tunnel on the Angren–Pap railway line.
The new crane has several advantages, which are reflected in its technical characteristics. In particular, it saves installation time by two times compared to the old equipment. It weighs 175 tons and has a lifting capacity of 150 tons. All equipment is computerized, and the technical operations and lifting process are displayed on the monitor, the company said.
Six specialists from Uzbekistan were trained in Germany for 10 days to work on this crane and its operation. After the hoisting mechanism was delivered to Kokand, four German specialists conducted additional practical training for crane operators.
According to the agreement, service maintenance of the equipment will be provided by German specialists free of charge for two years.
