South Korea, Kazakhstan to improve co-op in health, education, innovation

Representatives of Severance KZ international fund and the head of South Kazakhstan’s executive body (akimat), Zhanseit Tuimebayev, discussed the development of trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and South Korea amid an official visit by the organization’s delegation to Kazakhstan.

The parties agreed to implement joint projects in healthcare, education and innovation spheres, the press service of the akimat said in a message.

Head of Severance KZ, An Larissa, stressed the good partner relations between Kazakhstan and South Korea and expressed intention to open a branch of the international fund in South Kazakhstan.

“The intentions and plans that you present today will not be ignored. In particular, we are ready to support your proposals for the development of medical tourism,” said Tuimebayev.

The regional health department and Severance KZ signed a memorandum of cooperation during the meeting. The fund will provide medical assistance to Kazakh citizens and support the work of the local social institutions, according to the memorandum.
