By Ali Mustafayev - Trend:

Kazakhstan intends to increase annual revenues from the transit of goods through its territory to $5 billion in 2020. The work in this direction was entrusted by the president of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev to the relevant structures.

In his address to the people of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev also noted that the transit of goods through Kazakhstan in 2017 increased by 17 percent.

The president also instructed to ensure the large-scale introduction of digital technologies, such as blockchain, at the country’s customs, which will allow tracking the cargo movements in the online mode, as well as simplify customs operations.

Kazakh president also touched on the use of "large data" designed to provide high-quality analytics with information on identifying reserves growth and reducing excess government spending.
