Uzbekistan exported 22,800 tons of melons and watermelons worth $ 7.4 million abroad in 1H2021, Trend reports with reference to UzDaily.
The most melons and watermelons were exported to Kazakhstan – 11,8 tons, Russia is in second place in terms of exports – 6,300 tons, Kyrgyzstan is in third – 2,900 tons.
The strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is dynamically developing in all areas, including the transit and transport sector.
The Kazakh and Uzbek sides are taking measures to build up transport and logistics potential to increase the volume of mutual trade.
The trade turnover between the countries increased by 46 percent in 1Q2021 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $1.5 billion. Kazakhstan’s export to Uzbekistan increased by 58.4 percent.
