BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26. Iran's aluminum ingots production increased by 26 percent, during the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through February 19, 2022), compared to the same period preceding Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, four Iranian aluminum companies produced over 509,000 tons of aluminum ingots within 11 months. The figure stood at 404,900 tons in the same period preceding the Iranian year.
"So, the South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) produced 173,500 tons of aluminum ingots, Iranian Aluminum Company – 163,400 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 137,600 tons, and Iran Alumina Company – 34,300 tons during 11 months," the report said.
In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced over 211,000 tons of alumina powder in 11 months. There was no change in the production of aluminum powder compared to the same period last the Iranian year.
