Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / Azerbaijan's realtors are slow to improve professional services in the Azerbaijani real estate market, the Executive Director of 'Participants of Real Estate Market' public organization, Nusrat Ibrahimov, reported.

In June, the public organization opened educational courses for realtors in order to improve the professional level of brokers. "At present we are holding training only for employees of one realtor company - New Europa. Several other companies which applied have avoided paying and did not enrol on the courses," Ibrahimov said.

According to him, the courses are educational and are intended to offer more professional and high-quality services to the clients of Azerbaijan's real estate market. Upon completion of the course the realtors will receive a quality certificate.

There are approximately 800 realtor companies operating in Baku, including private brokers.

The courses run for one month depending on the company's will and the cost of the courses is AZN 35.

The participants of Azerbaijan's real estate market should utilise the opportunity of professional growth through receiving adequate high-quality education, the president of the International Real Estate Fund, Norman Flynn, said while visiting Baku.

According to Flynn, Azerbaijani brokers should train on a wide scale of property appraisal, including intellectual property appraisal and business appraisal.

Trust in the market will enable Azerbaijani realtors and appraisers to attract foreign investors, Flynn said.
