Kazakhstan, Astana / corr Trend K.Konirova / The negotiations between the Government of Kazakhstan and Agip KCO consortium, over the Kashagan will last till 15 January 2008, stated Sauat Minbayev, the Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources in talks with the journalists on 25 December.
The minister said that Kazakhstan hopes to increase the share of the oil and gas company KazMunayGas in this project to 16.8%. An agreement on the price was achieved with the 5 companies, excluding ExxonMobil. "We have not yet reached on an agreement on the price. Therefore, the negotiations have prolonged till 15 January, when it will be mirrored finally," the minister said.
