About 3.63 million tons of oil and condensate were produced in Azerbaijan in January 2008. The figure is 8 percent less than in January 2009, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee reported.
The Azerbaijani International Operational Company accounted for most of the oil production, including 2.9 million tons from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field, which is 9.4 percent less than in 2008.
Gas production was 1.9 billion cubic meters in January 2009, which is 4.7 percent less than in 2008. The Azerbaijani International Operational Company accounted for roughly 979.2 million cubic meters of gas, which is 30.5 percent more than in 2008.
In January 2009, two billion KW/t power were produced in Azerbaijan, which is 8.6 percent less than during the same period in 2008.
