Kazakhstan significantly decreases petroleum oil exports to Greece

Kazakhstan has exported 226,667 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 67.2 million euros to Greece in October 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 4.2 million tons of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 1.2 billion euros to Greece over the period from Jan. through Oct. 2020.

Thus, the October volume of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Greece is 16.7 percent less than in volume compared to July 2020 (272,364 tons) and is 45.1 percent more than in Jan. 2020 (413,010 tons).

October’s export value is also 7.3 percent less than in September 2020 (72.6 million euros) and is 64.4 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (189.3 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Greece amounted to $1.22 billion over the first ten months of 2020, compared to $1.17 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Greece amounted to $1.2 billion over the period from January through Oct. 2020, compared to $1.15 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Greece amounted to nearly $17.7 million over the reporting period, compared to $15.8 million during the same period of 2019.
