Uzbekistan GTL completed works on the installation and chemical cleaning of boiler feed water pipelines for the commissioning of the plant's boiler plants, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of the energy of Uzbekistan.
Earlier it was reported that the Uzbekistan GTL (gas to liquids) plant for the first time received fuel gas from the main gas pipeline of Uztransgaz JSC.
According to the ministry, the fuel gas system (unit No. 78) of the GTL plant was put into operation with the start of receiving fuel gas, and the next stage of key pre-commissioning and commissioning works of technological equipment and installations begins.
At the moment, the installation work of the boiler feedwater pipelines for the plant's boiler plants has been fully completed. In addition, the chemical cleaning of boiler feed water pipelines has been carried out.
It is noted that chemical cleaning works were carried out in close cooperation with Uzbekistan GTL plant specialists, EPC contractor - Enter Engineering Pte. Ltd., and Spanish Solarca.
According to the information, pre-start chemical cleaning is a mandatory measure when putting into operation modern and high-precision equipment. Chemical cleaning is carried out to prevent corrosion and the ingress of any particles and dirt into the system. Chemical pre-cleaning eliminates the risk of problems during start-up, operation, and maintenance.
The ministry reports that after the completion of the chemical cleaning, the boiler feed water supply was started to the boiler plants to start commissioning.
