SOCAR won't ship oil from Batumi in September

In connection with shipment of large volume of private oil of Azeri Light from Turkish port of Ceyhan, in September the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) doesnt plan to export raw oil from Georgian port of Batumi, Trend reports with reference to SOCAR.

The oil produced from the block of marine fields of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli is delivered to Turkey through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and Georgia through railway.

In September, SOCAR will ship 215 thousand tons of its private oil from Ceyhan port through tankers: 80 th. t. (600 th. barrel) of oil will be sold on base of tender that will be announced in the near future, and 135 th. t. (1 million barrels) will be sold to traders (Glencore and Select Energy Trading) on base of long term contract.

Today a tanker has been fixed to leave Batumi with Azerbaijan oil of Azeri Light in volume of 80 th. t. (600 th. barrels).

Besides, it is planned to regulate the shipment of oil batch of SOCAR from Novorossisk port. The oil is delivered to the port through Baku- Novorossisk pipeline.
