Azerbaijan, Turkey to expand investment co-op in e-commerce

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 25

Azerbaijan and Turkey will expand investment cooperation in digital trade, Trend reports on Aug.25 citing ‘Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Digital Trade between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey’.

According to the document, the parties will cooperate in helping to attract foreign direct investment and investors to their territories.

Besides, the memorandum indicated that cooperation between enterprises operating in the field of digital trade on their territory will be encouraged between Azerbaijan and Turkey, including support for the integration of small and medium-sized businesses into the ecosystem of cross-border digital commerce.

As earlier reported, the memorandum has been approved by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The document was signed on April 2, 2021 in Baku.
