BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Jask port in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), increased by 74.2 percent for the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Trend reports.
About 21,900 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at this port in the 2nd month. Of this, 17,500 tons were loaded and 4,370 tons were unloaded.
Approximately 17,200 tons were exported through the Jask port over the 2nd month.
Also, 359 tons of cargo were loaded and 4,370 tons were unloaded at the port for other purposes within the mentioned month.
Some 17,200 tons of essential products, 296 tons of construction and mining materials, 50 tons of equipment, vehicles, spare parts, 250 tons of small and assorted goods, and 4,120 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year.
In total, 11.7 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 7.01 million tons were loaded and 4.66 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 3.4 percent compared to the same month in the last Iranian year.
