BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. The value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye reached $628.9 million in 2022, increasing by 52 percent from 2021 ($412.2 million), Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The value of export from Kyrgyzstan to Türkiye from January through December 2022 amounted to $140.6 million - an increase of 55 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($90.6 million).
The value of Turkish imports to Kyrgyzstan reached $488 million last year. In comparison, the value of export from Türkiye to the country in 2021 amounted $321 million, which is less than in 2022 by almost 1.5 times.
Moreover, the countries plan to eventually increase mutual trade turnover up to $2 billion by intensifying trade, economic and investment cooperation.
In total, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover reached $11.8 billion from January through December 2022, which is a 41-percent increase over the same period of 2021 ($8.3 billion).
At the same time, the value of export from Kyrgyzstan amounted to $2.1 billion in 2022, which is near 21 percent less than in 2021 ($2.7 billion).
The value of import to Kyrgyzstan in 2022 increased by 72 percent over 2021 ($5 billion), and reached $9 billion.
