Three convicted drug traffickers were hanged in central Iran, the Tehran press reported Monday.
The three were hanged Sunday in a prison in the central city of Isfahan after their initial death sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Court, DPA reported.
The traffickers were identified as Akbar Z, aged 33, Hamid Reza H, 28, and Shah S, 38.
Murder, rape, armed robbery and drug trafficking of quantities in excess of 5 kilograms are among crimes punishable by death in Iran.
