Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) will start to carry out flights on Perm-Baku route from May 20, 2016, said the website of Perm International Airport.
The flights will be carried out with Embraer-190 aircraft till Oct.29, 2016.
Depending on the layout of the cabin, the Embraer-190 can accommodate from 94 to 106 passengers.
Earlier, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency authorized the Yamal Airlines to open flights on this route with a frequency of twice a week. The flights were supposed to be carried out by A320 and Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
Moreover, Red Wings, Izhavia and Grozny Avia airlines have the permission to carry out flights from Perm to Baku.
