Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 May / Trend corr. S.Agayeva / The disagreed plots of the Azerbaijani-Russian state borders will be discussed in the bilateral meeting of the Commission on border delimitation and demarcation in Baku on 14 May.

The negotiations will be held under the chairmanship of Grigori Karasin, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Khalaf Khalafov, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.

The sides will evaluate the normative-legal documents and cartography materials, as well as will hold exchange of point of views on the project on 'State border between Azerbaijani and Russian'.

Previously, Vasili Istratov, Russian Ambassador in Azerbaijan, stated to journalists that three border plots remained disagreed between the countries. The borders of three countries, Azerbaijan, Rissia and Georgia, touch one other in one of the plot and the two others are on the Samur River.

"I think that Russia and Azerbaijan could come to mutual understanding on the plot, which cross near the Samur River. The most difficult is the area near the sea. However, I believe that this issue will also be solved," Istratov stated.

The latest Azerbaijani-Russian Ministries consultations were held in Moscow in the end of January. Khalaf Khalafov represented Azerbaijan in the meetings.
