Georgian Parliament to Adopt Resolution  Due to Occupied Territories

Georgia, Tbilisi, 27 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / The Georgian Parliament will address to legislative departments of many countries soon, as well as to adopt a resolution to announce the territories, captured by Russian troops as occupied. This was said by Pavle Kublashvili, Chairman of the Juridical Committee, to journalists.

A meeting was held beyond close doors in Georgian parliament on 27 August. "Parliament develops the necessary documents and the final resolution will be developed within several days," Kublashvili said.

"It is an occupation of a country by one country military forces," Kublashvili said.

At the night of 8 August, large-scale military operations were launched in the self-declared South Ossetia republic. The Georgian troops entered Tskhinvali. Later the Russian troops entered the city and drove the Georgian forces back to the Georgian territory.

On 12 August, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev announced that he has decided to end operations to compel Georgia to peace.
