Last month, employees of Azerbaijan State Border Service (SBS) detained 121 persons who were in search. The detained people were handed over to law-enforcement agencies, SBS press service told Trend .
In July, 27 cases of illegally crossing the state border were prevented. Of 41people detained as violators, 19 are Azerbaijani citizens, nine - Georgia, four - Russia, three - China, as well as two citizens of Turkey and Iran per each, one citizen of Afghanistan and Ukraine per each. Due to violation of border regime were arrested 443 people, because of the lack of visa - 121, expiration of visas - 60, lack of relevant documents - 52.
Last month, border guards withdrew over 23 kilograms of drugs.
