The loan portfolio of banks and credit organizations in Azerbaijan in national currency reached 15.9 million manat ($9.3 million) as of October 1, 2021, of which 13.07 million manat ($7.7 million) accounted for long-term loans, Trend reports on Nov. 24 with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
The number of overdue loans reached 5.5 percent of the total loan portfolio.
According to the report, the volume of deposits of the population in banks in the national currency amounted to almost 8.8 million manat ($5.2 million) as of October 1, 2021.
“The average rate of the national currency to $1 was 1.70 manat, 1 euro – 2.03 manat, 100 Turkish lira - 20.87 manat, 100 Russian rubles - 2.31 manat from January through October 2021,” the report said.
