Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 November / Trend / The Araz River tanker will be launched at the Russian Krasnoe Sormovo plant for the Palmali company on 2 November.
The vessel, meeting all requirements of the international conventions, was designed by the Odessa Marine Engineering Bureau. This type of vessels (Novaya Armada) obtained an additional sign on the symbol of Eco Project class. This sign testifies that additional requirements to prevent pollution in emergency situations were applied to the vessel at the designing stage, Palmali reported on 31 October.
The length of the vessel is 139.95m, width - 16.60m, height of the board - 6.0m, sea deadweight - about 7,008 tons with the immersion of 4.60m, river deadweight - 4,611 tons with the immersion of 3.60m.
A delegation from Palmali and the administration of the Nizhegorodsk Oblast, as well as representatives of the Sormovo region of Nizhniy Novgorod, administration of the Krasnoe Sormovo and the employees of the plant, will participate in the ceremony of launching.
The tanker will transport oil products via the Mediterranean, Black and Baltic Seas.
