Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 3 / Trend , N.Ismayilova/
Information coordination and exchange of information between the National Banks of Azerbaijan and Belarus will be useful for both countries during the global financial crisis, Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolai Patskevich said on Feb. 3. "Azerbaijani banks have initiated an information exchange and our bankers have supported this idea," he said. Belarusian bankers visited Baku in November to discuss the financial crisis with their Azerbaijani partners, Patskevich said. The diplomat said coordination between the banks will be held by signing insurance agreements. "We are not encountering problems in our collaboration. But these activities require activation. Hence, meetings at the bank level will be further conducted," he said.
"If bank institutions coordinate their actions and agree to provide credit support and payment guarantee to reliable companies, this will accelerate trade growth," Patskevich said.
