Turkmenistan transfers radioactive waste contract to Russian company

Turkmenistan transferred a contract to bury the radioactive waste of enterprises on the Caspian shore to a Russian company.

 

Turkmenkhimiya will sign a contract worth $12,405,500 (including VAT) with Ekomet-S to safely transport and bury radioactive waste from the Khazar Chemical Plant and Balkanabat Iodine Plant.

 

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov signed an order to transfer the contract to protect the environment and ensure environmental security.
