The International Bank of Azerbaijan continues to expand a variety of E-banking service. Presently, these services include both simple services (check of account balance, getting of extracts) and more difficult ones (transfer money from one bank card to another one, payment of bills for electricity, services of stationary and mobile phone communication, as well as access to Internet), the bank said on June 12.
"Presently, the International Bank of Azerbaijan renders clients a new service of SMS Notification," the message said.
Through this service clients of the bank and users of Azercell mobile numbers will be immediately informed of all operations in their plastic cards account in real time.
Whether monetary funds were received in client's account or a payment was made from it, as soon as an operation was conducted through the bank account, an SMS message informing about the operation will be sent to client's mobile phone. Thus, clients of the bank will be informed of the payment of your salary, receipt of money transfer and other operations by card. Client's plastic card account will be under control 7 days a week and 24 hours a day irrespective of the place and time.
SMS Notification became simplified version of innovation service MobilBank presented in January 2008. MobilBank allows paying via mobile phone besides getting notifications about account operations. Clients joined the service can get extracts on accounts and SMS about each conducted operation, check balance of accounts, pay mobile communication AzerCell and bills for electricity. If it is necessary to apply to Azercell to change sim-card for special one and activate it in the bank to join MobilBank service, the process with SMS-Notification is much easier.
E-banking includes payment of Azercell, Bakcell and NarMobile providers services, insurance polices of the International Insurance Company, transfer from one plastic card to another one, Internet providers services, etc.
So, if roughly 243,800 operations in the amount of 4.88 million manat were conducted via all channels of E-banking in 2007, the number of all kinds of operations hit 366,300 (growth of 33.4 percent) in 2008. Total sum hit 7.97 million manat (growth of 38.8 percent). Though absolute majority of operations fell on payment of mobile and stationary phone communication services, most part of money volume of operations of indicated sum fell on Card-Transfer service (transfer from one plastic card to another one).
Positive tendency of growth in E-payments and transfers was observed within last two years, press-service of the International Bank said.
E-banking is high-technological direction of banking service of the International Bank of Azerbaijan that allows conducting bank operations distantly in real time using bank cards and cash-machines, information stalls of the bank, as well as Internet banking system and MobilBank.
