The Latvian investment company Maximus Capital is considering opening an official representation in Azerbaijan, director of the company's private equity management department Dmitry Feldman said on Aug. 17.

"The Azerbaijani market is very promising and opening a representation will be a prerequisite for success in this market," said Feldman.

He said that Azerbaijan created good conditions for deposits: Azerbaijani banks offer relatively high rates, on the backdrop of which the average profitability in overseas financial markets are not so attractive for Azerbaijani clients.

"On the other hand, I am convinced that international financial markets might represent interests for both private and institutional clients in Azerbaijan in order to diversify their investment portfolio," said Feldman.

Feldman said the services that Maximus Capital offer private and corporate clients in Azerbaijan include asset management, preparing individual portfolios, developing investment strategies to guarantee the return of the principal amount of investment, brokerage services on global financial markets, including Market Forex, the opportunity to trade equities, futures, bonds and other financial instruments.

Maximus Capital is an independent investment company, licensed in accordance with the requirements of the European Union, uniting a team with many years international experience and with an impeccable reputation on the financial markets. The top managers and members of the board of Maximus Capital occupy key positions in the largest and most respected banks and financial groups of the world (in the United States, the Baltic countries, Russia, Switzerland). Maximus Capital has been successful in the Baltic and CIS countries' markets.
