Finalizing the first half of 2009 with good performance results, Qarant Sığorta Company has been awarded the Golden Buta Prize as the result of successful activities, the company said.
According to the poll related to the results of the first half of 2009 and held by World Azerbaijanis Public Center (WAPC), Qarant Sığorta Company has been recognized as the company that made the most impact to the development of the Azerbaijani insurance market. It has presented three absolutely new types of products in the market during first half of the current year.
In the course of presentation ceremony held in Baku Ambassador Hotel, Zaur Mirzoyev, the Chairman of WAPC said that the Golden Buta is presented to heads of companies, which played an important role in the economic and cultural life of Azerbaijan.
According to the results of the poll, Golden Buta has been presented to Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan and the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation for her impact in creating modern type educational institutions in the republic. Furthermore, the following persons have been also awarded this prize: Aydin Aliyev for his impact in improving the customs system in the country and compliance to world standards; Jahanghir Askerov for his exceptional impact in creating international relations of Azerbaijan; Rufat Aslanly, for his impact in implementing economic reforms in Azerbaijan; Ahmad Veliyev for his efforts in promoting and developing science.
As the result of poll held among 6,700 respondents, Qarant Sığorta Company has been awarded this prize for its impact in improving Azerbaijani insurance system.
It should be noted that Qarant Sığorta Company passed registration on November 27, 2007 and started factual activities in the beginning of 2008. Having 4 million manat as its fixed capital, Qarant Sığorta became the first company to apply Corporate Social Responsibility culture in financial sector of Azerbaijan.
