CEIBC member companies meet with Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan

The member companies of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin in Baku on February 6. The main topic of the event was Azerbaijani-Russian economic cooperation.

Information about economic and trade relations, opportunities for making investments in the Russian Federation was provided to CEIBC member companies at the meeting.

Addressing the meeting Vladimir Dorokhin expressed his satisfaction with the relations established between Azerbaijan and Russia. According to him, goods turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan reached a record level within 11 months of 2012 ($3.1 bln). It is expected to total $3.3 bln following the results of 2012.

The Ambassador emphasized that cooperation was not based only on energy sector. Relationship in the non oil sector is actively developing too. "Today, noteworthy is an active operation of Russian companies in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani companies in Russia", he said.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador of Russia answered the questions given by CEIBC member companies.
Problems of business doing between Azerbaijani and Russian companies as well as ways of their solution were discussed at the meeting.

Presentation of the first international internet projects (www.FIRSTCLASS.AZ и www.CASPIANENERGY.INFO) of CEIBC and Caspian Energy International Media Group was made at the event. According to President and Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) Telman Aliyev, the given projects will promote much broader business development.

Addressing the meeting, Telman Aliyev spoke about CEIBC. According to him, CEIBC was established in June 2002 under active support of Caspian Energy International Media Group and support of big oil-gas companies operating in the Caspian-Black Sea region. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been an honorary chairman of CEIBC since 2002.

Since the moment of creation CEIBC has been drawing oil industry profits for the development of the non oil sector. CEIBC operates in 50 countries worldwide, carries out an active work in the direction of dialogue support between government agencies and private sector.

CEIBC honorary membership certificate was presented to Ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin at the meeting. New CEIBC member companies were also given certificates.

Participating in CEIBC meeting were representatives of diplomatic agencies from Romania, Latvia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other countries.
