The state-owned company “Kyrgyz Railways” and Uzbekistan Railways JLC signed a protocol according to which the current discount of 30 percent for transit cargo transportation is maintained on Uzbekistan territory in the direction to / from the stations of Southern Branch of “Kyrgyz Railways” for 2019, Trend reports via UzDaily.uz.
Furthermore, a 35-percent discount is provided for individual transit sections of the Uzbek railway with the participation of international state joint point Hodzhadavlet and 40 percent with the participation of international state joint point Karakalpakstan for 2019.
The recalculation of freight charges will be made using a discount of 35 percent instead of 30 percent in case of transporting 200,000 tons of oil and oil products, 60,000 tons of timber and lumber, 35,000 tons of milled products.
Protocol was signed in Tashkent on December 24, 20182018 in order to increase freight traffic between the Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
