TEHRAN, Iran, Nov. 10
Trend:
Pakistan has suggested Iran to barter rice for oil and petrochemicals, said advisor to Pakistani PM, Abdul Razak Dawood said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Dawood mentioned the region`s need to link Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan, where Iran and Pakistan are the most important players.
"Without Iran, the mentioned link will not be at its maximum capacity," he said.
He noted that Pakistan is seeking a mechanism to boost its trade with Iran though bartering.
Pakistan's export commodities to Iran include quinoa, mango, and citrus, Dawood said, expressing hope that the existing barriers to bilateral trades will be removed soon.
