Azerbaijan interested in petrochemical plants construction in Libya

Azerbaijani companies are interested in construction of petrochemical plants in Libya, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tripoli Agaselim Shukurov said during his meeting with Libyan Oil and Gas Minister Abdel Bari Ali Al-Arousi, Libyan National Oil Company’s website reported on Friday.

Azerbaijani companies are interested in construction of petrochemical plants in Libya, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tripoli Agaselim Shukurov said during his meeting with Libyan Oil and Gas Minister Abdel Bari Ali Al-Arousi, Libyan National Oil Company's website reported on Friday.

Shukurov said that Azerbaijan is also interested in investing in upgrading of existing petrochemical plants in Libya.

The delegation of major Azerbaijani companies will visit Libya in the near future for this purpose, Shukurov said.

In turn, Al-Arousi noted that Libya welcomes the participation of Azerbaijani investors in the country's energy sector. He said the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Libya in the field of oil and gas will boost development of both countries' economies.

Shukurov also invited Al-Arousi to visit Azerbaijan to get acquainted with petrochemical complexes in the country.
